Grid trading uses a trading bot that automatically buys and sells futures contracts. It is designed to place orders in the market at preset intervals within a configured price range.
Understanding the configuration of grid trading thoroughly can be challenging for most users, so we have launched the smart customization feature. Any user may set his or her own grids based on the highest and the lowest recommended prices and the number of grids calculated by this feature.
How does the smart customization feature work?
Lowest recommended price = mean of closing prices in the last 14 days - 2 * standard deviation of closing prices in the last 14 days
Highest recommended price = mean of closing prices in the last 14 days + 2 * standard deviation of closing prices in the last 14 days
Number of grids = (highest recommended price - lowest recommended price) / average trading range (ATR) in the last 14 days
Risk warning: Grid trading as a strategic tool should not be regarded as any financial or investment advice from Poloniex. Grid trading is used at your discretion and at your own risk.
