Dear Poloniex Users,
Poloniex has introduced the sub-account feature on March 13, 2023, to enhance your user experience and service, and to provide convenient account management options. The following are the key details:
- The master account is used to generate sub-accounts, with each master account having the ability to create a maximum of 50 sub-accounts. Additionally, users are provided with the option to configure sub-account permissions;
- The master account enables the editing of sub-account details, such as basic information and permissions, through the edit function;
- Poloniex supports the transfer of funds between the main account and sub-accounts. Users can transfer funds between the main account and sub-accounts, or between sub-accounts, for spot and futures accounts, providing a convenient means for asset management.
Please take note:
- At present, the sub-account feature is exclusively accessible via the Poloniex web interface, and is not supported on the app.
- To create a sub-account, the master account is required to complete the KYC verification, bind the Google authenticator, and activate the spot and contract functions.
- Upon setting the sub-account password during the account creation process, users are required to complete a human-machine interaction step and enter an email verification code to activate the sub-account successfully.
- After enabling the "Google Authentication Required" permission during the sub-account creation process (which is enabled by default), the sub-account must log in to activate Google Authenticator if it intends to use transaction, deposit, and withdrawal functions.
- Upon successful creation of a sub-account, the rates for that account are calculated independently.

FAQ:
- What is the reason for the inability to modify my email address following the successful creation of a sub-account?
Answer: Upon successful creation of a sub-account, only the sub-account name can be modified for basic information, and the email address cannot be changed. To use a new email account, users must add a new sub-account.
- Following the successful creation of my sub-account, why is the "Top Up" button on the wallet page persistently disabled?
Answer: Sub-accounts that have not enabled the "Enable deposit" button during creation (which is disabled by default) will not be able to support the top-up function. To activate this feature, users can log in to the master account, navigate to the "Sub-Account" function page, and edit and enable the "Enable Deposit" button for the respective account. Once successfully activated, the top-up function for the sub-account will become available.
