On December 5, 2020 beginning around 06:30 UTC, we experienced an outage due to a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack. Once it was safe to do so, we brought our site out of maintenance mode and into post-only mode for all of our markets.
We have since restored full trading for all markets. Customer funds remained safe throughout this time of degraded performance.
We understand how frustrating downtime is for our customers and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We have already taken steps that will help to mitigate future attacks and are working with our DDoS prevention vendor to monitor and further enhance our DDoS prevention capabilities moving forward.
