Our system is designed to protect customers and prevent attacks. One of the precautions currently in place is designed to detect bots and bad actors who may spam our site and services.

In certain cases, this detection software may confuse someone clicking buttons repeatedly, or normal use, with a robot attempting to overwhelm Poloniex. This system also flags users who connect to Poloniex from multiple devices at once from the same IP address.

This could mean excessive API calls (and by extension, disregarded API warnings), multiple windows open, multiple computers, a phone and a computer at the same time, or anything similar. Clicking the login button multiple times while logging in or refreshing the window may also trigger multiple connections and lead to this error.

This is only a temporary ban and will pass; the exact duration of the ban will depend on individual circumstances. Please feel free to reach out to our support team if you encounter this issue repeatedly and we'll be happy to investigate. When contacting support, it is helpful if you include the Ray ID from the error page and the approximate time that the problem began.
