This article is for deposits made on our platform to the wrong address or that contain missing information (Payment ID, Memo, Destination tag, etc.).
Please take extra caution when depositing funds to make sure the coins and network used match the wallet you are depositing to. Kindly avoid the following situation, e.g. depositing BUSD token via BEP20 network to BUSD-ERC20 wallet address OR depositing MATIC token via POLYGON network to MATIC-ERC20 wallet address.
The process to recover tokens is extremely complicated and may result in significant cost, time, and risk. As stated in the Poloniex User Agreement, Clause No. 5: INITIAL FUNDING; THIRD PARTY TRANSFERS. "If you send a Digital Asset to a Poloniex address that is unable to receive that specific Digital Asset, or if you make any typos or inaccuracies in the wallet address, such Digital Asset may be lost forever."
Poloniex is happy to attempt to recover your transaction after getting sufficient information from users via our support ticketing system. However, please be aware that there is no guarantee that we can recover your transaction and successful recoveries will be subjected to a 5% recovery fee. *Poloniex is unable to recover any deposited tokens that Poloniex does not support on our exchange.*
NOTE: Poloniex is unable to recover any deposited tokens that Poloniex does not support or no longer supported on our exchange. Poloniex will not recover any type of incomplete transaction of value less than $10 (at the time of the transaction is initiated).
Any unused deposit address may be deleted from your account, and made inactive or used for another purpose. If you deposit to an address unassigned to your account, you will lose access to these funds. Always check deposit addresses before depositing any currency.
