What is ADA?
Cardano is a proof-of-stake blockchain platform that says its goal is to allow “changemakers, innovators and visionaries” to bring about positive global change. The open-source project also aims to “redistribute power from unaccountable structures to the margins to individuals” — helping to create a society that is more secure, transparent and fair. Deposit ADA now and begin trading: ADA/USDT, ADA/USDC and ADA/BTC.

The Cardano network was upgraded in 2020, resulting in two address formats: Byron (legacy) addresses and Shelley (new) addresses. Poloniex's deposit address is Shelley (new) addresses, and we support sending funds to all ADA addresses. Sending ADA from a legacy address (Byron - starts with the following formats Icarus-style: Ae2 or Daedalus-style: DdzFF) is currently not supported. Our system will prevent the send and you will receive an error message such as: currently not supported, or invalid address error.
