Users can now trade USDT perpetual contracts with ease on Poloniex's mobile app. Please click here to download the app if you haven't already got one.
After logging into your Poloniex account, you will see "Futures" on the bottom navigation bar.
- You can tap the ticker symbol on the top left to switch between futures contracts.
- The order placement section is in the middle. You can check buy and sell orders in the order book located on the left.
- The order section is at the bottom, where you can view your current positions and open orders.
- You can also view market trends by tapping on the top right, and claim futures trial funds or see the beginner's guide by tapping .
Enable Futures Trading
Tap "Enable now" under "Positions" or "Enable Futures Trading" in the order placement section, check "I have read the agreement and understood the risks", and then tap the button to enable futures trading.
View Futures Balance
Tap "Wallet" on the bottom navigation bar and then choose "Futures" to check your account balance. Before you start trading, you need to deposit funds into your Poloniex futures account first. To do so, please go to the Transfer Balances page and then transfer USDT from your spot account to your futures account.
Account Total: Equity of your account, including unrealized P&L of all your open positions
Available Balance: Balance available for order placement, including any trial funds or coupons
Unrealized P&L: Unrealized profit and loss of the current position
Position Margin: Total margin value of the current position
Order Margin: Total margin value frozen in the open orders
Frozen Funds: Funds that are frozen due to failed asset transfers
Open a Position
Poloniex supports cross margin and isolated margin trading for USDT perpetual contracts. To place an order on Poloniex Futures, please select the margin mode, order type, and leverage, and then enter the order amount.
Leverage: Poloniex supports up to 100x leverage. The higher the leverage, the greater the potential profits can be.
Limit Order: You place an order at a specific price to buy or sell an asset.
Market Order: You buy or sell a futures contract at the best price currently available.
Trigger Order: The order will be triggered and executed automatically once the pre-set stop price is reached.
View Your Positions
After your order is executed, you can check the details of your positions in the "Positions" section and share your trading performance.
Liquidation Price: The estimated price at which your position will be liquidated. Liquidation occurs when the mark price hits the liquidation price of a position.
Margin: The assets you deposited as collateral when opening a position. You can add more margin to lower the chance of your position being liquidated.
Unrealized P&L: The unrealized profit and loss of your current positions. Please note that this is an estimation calculated using the mark price. The percentage indicates the proportion of the profit and loss to the order amount.
Auto-Margin: When the Auto-Margin mode is enabled, the assets in your futures account will be transferred to your existing positions once liquidation occurs so as to prevent bankruptcy.
Stop Profit & Loss: When the stop price you set is reached, your order will be executed at the market price to lock in profits or mitigate any loss.
Close a Position
You can select Market Order or Limit Order to close your position.
