As the world's first exchange supporting the futures tokens of the potential Ethereum fork prior to The Merge, Poloniex has won support and trust from users after listing the markets of ETHS (ETH2, Ethereum PoS) and ETHW (ETH1, Ethereum PoW).
To better support the potential fork, Poloniex will take measures to facilitate the circulation and trading of ETHS and ETHW on different exchanges and wallets so as to bring users an easier and friendlier experience. Upon prudent review, Poloniex decides to issue ETHS and ETHW tokens on the TRON public chain, meaning that users can withdraw these forked tokens to other exchanges or their wallets. Please follow our announcements for details on when deposits and withdrawals will be enabled.
The total amount of ETH in reserves is publicly available through Poloniex's reserve address, which ensures no additional ETHS or ETHW is issued and that the issuance is transparent and trustworthy. Users can also deposit TRON-based ETHS or ETHW onto Poloniex and then trade them or exchange them back for ETH to facilitate the flow of the forked futures tokens.
Benefits of TRON-based ETHS and ETHW:
- ETHS and ETHW will be able to be used on different trading platforms, which facilitates their deposits, withdrawals, and trading across exchanges;
- Trading addresses of ETHS and ETHW are publicly available, making the tokens safe and credible;
- ETHS and ETHW are supported by Poloniex, where users can swap the tokens for ETH and make deposits and withdrawals as they want.

Poloniex has now enabled the markets of ETHS and ETHW with USDT, USDD, and ETH. All our customers are welcome to trade and get involved in this great transformation of the Ethereum ecosystem. Poloniex will ensure stable markets to the best of its ability and fully support the blockchain industry's growth and ecosystem expansion.
Risk Alert:
The potential new chains arising from the uncertain Ethereum fork may not last long due to insufficient computing power or a possible lack of support from developers or community members. This may cause either of the forked futures tokens to lose value or be delisted from Poloniex. Poloniex does not guarantee the value of any forked futures tokens. Please be prudent before making any decisions.
